Beautiful Gasa Hot Spring Trekking Bhutan Itinerary Details

DAY 01: ARRIVAL at PARO

Arrival at Paro Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 02: PARO – THIMPHU

Morning visit Drugyel Dzong, Satsam Chorten Monastery, Kyichu lhakhang and National Museum. Late evening drive to Thimphu.Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 03: THIMPHU-TASHITHANG [Trekking]

Drive to Punakha takes about 3hours. On the way view the great Himalayan ranges from the Dochula pass. After lunch visit Punakha Dzong and continue drive to Tashithang. Overnight in camp.

 

DAY 04: TASHITHANG - GEON DAMJI [Trekking]

To day's hike is through the village of Geon above the Mo Chu river into a lush semi-tropical gorge filled with banana trees and occasionally encounters Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Overnight in camp. Alt. 2,280m. Distance 15Kms.

 

DAY 05: GEON DAMJI - GASA HOT SPRING [Trekking]

The trail runs through the villages, fields, oak and pine forests. Overnight in camp. Alt. 2,350m. Distance 15Kms.

 

DAY 06: GASA HOT SPRING – HALT

Late breakfast and rest of the day relax in the Hot spring or walk around the Gasa village. Overnight in camp.

 

DAY 07: GASA HOT SPRING - GEON DAMJI [Trekking]

After short climb from Gasa Hot spring the trail winds through hillsides and villages. Distance 16Kms. Overnight in camp.

 

DAY 08: GEON DAMJI TASHITHANG / ZOMLINGTHANG [Trekking]

The trail descends from the village above the river into a lush semi-tropical gorge till Tashithang. Drive down to Zomling thang. Overnight in camp.

 

DAY 09: ZOMLINGTHANG – THIMPHU

Drive to Thimphu takes about 4hours via Dochula pass. From the pass if the weather is clear you will see beautiful views of the snow capped mountains. Continue drive to Thimphu. Afternoon visit the Memorial Chorten, Nunnery Monastery, and Handicraft Emporium. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 10: THIMPHU - PARO [Departure]
After breakfast drive to Paro International Airport. The representatives of the company will see you off.
