Ama Lapcha
(Amphu Laptsa or Amphu Laptse in local dialects) Pass is one of the
challenging high passes in Everest pass of Khumbu Everest region Nepal. This
Himalayan high pass route contains the mix of Himalayan flora and fauna
inside in between Everest National Park, Makalu Barun National Park and
Nature Conservation area and Sherpa culture with Buddhist monasteries. This
is one of the Himalayan destination still unspoiled civilization which
attracts the tourists of High Mountains. The trek starts normally from Lukla
(above 2800m) in sub tropical and reaches over 5000m above the sea level.
Except trekking, who are interested to climb Mera Peak, Island Peak or both
trekking peaks during the trek is available. Those peaks are famous for the
technically mountaineering interested trekkers. If you are interested to
climb those peak or at least a peak (either, Mera Peak or Island Peak),
please contact us. Ama Lapcha Himalayan high pass route combines both peak
with a trek and provide oppertunity to attempt either both or at least one.
Crossing Mera La or remote Honku Valley and a crossing of the spectacular
and difficult Amphu Laptsa Pass, Everest Base Camp zone can be achieved. We,
the adventure Eco-friendly holiday team is here to develop one of the best
itinerary ensuring proper acclimatization and we have plenty of days in the
event of inclement weather. Being slightly to the south of the main range,
Mera offers oppertunity of spectacular views from Kangchenjunga in the east
to the Langtang region in the west while Island Peak is situated right in
the heart of the Khumbu area and although it is dwarfed by the enormous
Lhotse Face to the north, the views from the summit are truly exceptional!
