Sikles Trekking Nepal Details Itinerary

Days 01 : Arrive at Tribhuwan international airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Our guide will explain briefly the program upon arrival at hotel.

Days 02 : After breakfast we drive to Pashupatinath temple. The holiest of holy Hindu temple in south Asia is the focal point of pilgrimage from all over the sub-continent. The holy river Bagmati flowing nearby is the cremation ground of the Hindus. Funeral pyres can be viewed from across the riverbank. We then visit to Bouddhanath. Probably the largest stupa in the world is also found in Kathmandu valley-the great stupa of Boudhanath. Again the omni-sighted eyes of the Buddha stare all the directions. This Stupa is the place of worship of Tibetan Buddhists predominantly. We then proceed on Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum. Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. It is very famous for woodcarving and pottery products. Finally we visit another Vishnu temple of Changunarayan which is the oldest known temple existing in the valley dating back to the 4th century.

Days 03 : You have breakfast being of the early morning before 7:00 AM. This morning you will be drive to Pokhara (200km), departure at 7:00 AM in the morning, approximately 6hrs away by tourist bus. You will be arriving late afternoon at Pokhara approximately 2:00 O’clock. From the Pokhara valley you can see one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurna and famous "Fishtail" mountain peak of Machhapuchhare tower over the tropical setting of Pokhara and you spend there will be the scenic highlight of your trip. You're free in Pokhara valley also called "Magic Land" or Dreamland" of Nepal, to explore the various interesting place as your own like boating in Fewa lake over looking the region of Annapurna range of Himalayas. In the evening you will prepare yourself for your trek to Royal trek.

Days 04 : Drive to Bijayapur and trek through villages of different tribes to Kalikasthan, camping at the top of the mountain which offers you panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Days 05 : We walk down hill to the river valley, with views of waterfalls and then climb towards Lamachour for our overnight camp.

Days 06 : Climb to Siklish through rhododendron forest and the largest Gurung village (known as Gorkhas). The best Panorama viewpoint, specially the close views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and Manaslu.

Days 07 : Descend through the forest and a smaller village to reach the interesting Ghale village. You may be interested to stay one more day there, for the panoramic attraction of the fishtail.

Days 08 : The trail descends to Pokhara through different villages and tribes (Brahman, Chhetri, Gurung, Thakali).

Days 09 : After breakfast scenic drive to Trisuli River till rafting spot point. This River is very popular as access to the Prithivi Highway makes "breaking off" the journey easy. After 3/4hrs rafting we drive to Chitwan National Park upon arrival, rooms assigned and there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities.

Days 10 : Wake up call followed by tea or coffee, and then proceed on a Nature Walk: This encounter on foot with the environment will introduce the main features of eastern Chitwan. Sal forest, open grassland and reverie jungle. Our guides will help you identify some species of birds, plants and other wildlife that you may encounter. Around 8:30AM breakfast will serve. After breakfast we process on Elephant-back safari: Guests will ride on an elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife you will be able to see the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours. Lunch will be serving around 1.00 PM: After lunch we have Canoeing Trip: A traditional dugout canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds and the animals of the riverbanks. Back to resort through the Jungle. In the evening, Tharu Stick dance show: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.

Days 11 : Early wake up call followed by tea or coffee, and then proceed on a Bird Watching after breakfast luggage down and departure around 9.30 AM to Kathmandu.

Days 12 : After breakfast we drive to Swyambhunath Stupa. This is one of the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, which has been registered in UNICEOO heritage side. We then visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu durbar square situated the center of Kathmandu where you can see the House of Living Goddess ”Kumari”, Kasthamandup temple” Said that was built from single tree in 16th century, Big bell-Big drams, Erotic carving in old temple, Old palace etc. Finally we have sightseeing of Patan Durbar Square. Patan Durbar square is one of the beautiful durbar squares in Kathmandu valley. It is very famous for woodcarving, Metal works, Temples and Monasteries. Tour of Patan includes tour of Krishna temple, Patan king’s palace, Golden temple and much more. In the evening you're free to shop and pick up some last minute souvenirs.

Days 13 : After breakfast you will have some free time until the time to leave the international airport for your final departure.

 

 

Day 01 - Arrive International airport and transfer to Hotel.
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, meet Eco-friendly Trekking airport representative transfer to your hotel. Short briefing will follow concerning the trekking agency's formalities such as payment remaining balance of the trip. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby sanctuaries or rest in hotel then.

Day 02 - Half day sightseeing around Kathamandu. O/N at hotel
This is good time to explore the city’s some places of interest after finalizing trekking permits or/and conservation permit or/and national park permit. Today you are visiting three of the famous world cultural heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in Kathmandu. You will visit first the Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,500 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. The painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world come. It is situated to the west of the city on a hill some 77 meters above the valley.
It is a 30 minutes drive with Eco-friendly guie to Boudhanath Stupa, another important Buddhist pilgrims site. This ancient Stupa is considered one of the biggest in the World. Every morning and evening, many Buddhist devotees come here to pray and circumambulate enabling the visitors to observe local religious practices.
The sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath is considered the holiest cremation ground, and people bathe in the Bagmati River with a faith of cleansing themselves spiritually. Many Sadhus or Hindu Ascetics live here. During religious festivals, Hindus come to make offerings, and it is sometimes very crowded.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara Valley
Early in the morning after breakfast about 6:00, Trekking guide of Eco-friendly Treks & Expedition will come to pick you up from your hotel reception and will head to bus park. After about 6 hours wonderful drive through bank of rivers, hill passes, terraces and local villages you will reach to Pokhara. After a rest, you will have boating on Fewa Lake. Overnight in Pokhara

Day 04. Pokhara - Kharpani
Duration: 6hrs
Height: 1370m
After breakfast leaving hotel drive to Mardipul and start the trek to Karpani.Trek follow a less frequented path in the direction of Ghachok passing through the settlement of Lhachock (975m) then through village fields to descend through village fields to descend through a natural rock tunnel to reach our campsite at Karpani. Walkking gently uphill and downhill.

Day 05 Kharpani to Ghale Kharka
Duration: 5hrs
Height: 960m
Drive or fly. We continue along the west bank of the Seti Khola (river) and through several small Gurung settlements. The paths through the villages are paved with large stones and several of the ascents are stepped in the same way. Reach the Sardi Khola, cross it and make a steep ascent to our campsite on a ridge high above the river. Wonderful views from here of Annapurna South (7273m), Hiunchuli (6336m) and Machhapuchare (6999m). about 5 hrs walk with two steep ascents.

Day 06 Ghale Kharka - Parche
Duration: 6 hrs
Height: 2700m
After breakfast drive to Bhurjung Khola and We start with a steep ascent from the campsite through oak and rhododendron forest toward the ridge which separates the Seti and Madi Kholas. In spring the forest is full of primula, orchids and rhododendrons in bloom. We come to an open meadow with fabulous views of Machhapuchare, then continue up to the top of the ridge (2621m). we make a short descent to reach an open meadow used by the local people as a buffalo pastures (about 2400m). then a longer descent through forest, emerging into open grassy meadows above Sikklis (2000m). we get good views from our campsite both at sunrise and sunset. About 7–8hrs walking with one steep ascent and one steep descent.

Day 07 Excursion to Sikkles Gurung Village and north
Duration: 5 hrs
Height: 2500m
Opportunity to make an optional excursion north from sikklis along a ridge for stunning views of Lamjung himal and the Annapurnas. Alternatively spend the day relaxing and taking in the spectacular mountain scenery or wandering around sikklis, one of the largest Gurung settlements in Nepal.

Day 08 Sikkles - Laamokhet
Duration: 5hrs
Height: 920m
We make a steep descent from our campsite above Sikkles through the small settlement of Khitang down to the Madi Khola. The walking is more gradual now along the west bank of the river. Good opportunities for bird watching – watch out for kingfishers, blue throated beeaters and whitecapped river chats. We lage of Laamokhet. This is one long steep descent trek today.

Day 09 Laamokhet - Kalikasthan
Duration: 6hrs
Height: 1419m
Explore around (optional rip: can be climbed unnamed peak) From Laamokhet, easy walking brings us gradually down the west bank of the river through forest and fields. We then ascend steepy through the forest to a small pass and then more gradually continue to Kalikastan (1150m ). We stop in the village before continuing along a broad trail and ascending to the top of an open grassy ridge with panoramic views of the Annapurnas, from Dhaulagiri in the west to Lamjung and Manaslu Himal in the east. The lakes of Begnas and Rupa are below the ridge to the south. We camp a little below the ridge.Day over with one steepish ascent.

Day 10 - Kalika Sthan - Pokhara
Duration: 6 hrs
Height: 1400m
Retrace our steps from the camp to the top of the ridge to watch sunrise over the mountains and then return to the campsite for breakfast. Descend quite steepy from the ridge and at a major trail junction take the trail to the east. Ascend to the ridge to find a small camp site .

Day 11 - Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12 - Departure from Kathmandu
Today early in the morning after your breakfast, you will have short drive to Kathmandu International Airport with Eco-friendly Trekking airport representative for back tour to your homeland or you will proceed another trip/s.
