Ganesh Himal Trekking Nepal Detail Itinerary

Days 01 : Arrive at Tribhuwan international airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Short briefing will be followed about necessary formalities and rest of the program. Depending on arrival time you will have choice of visiting nearby sanctuaries or have a rest day.

Days 02 : After breakfast we drive to Swoyambhunatha stupa has it that Manjushree, found of Kathmandu valley, and discovered the lotus of ancient valley lake on which site the great stupa of swoyambhunath was later built. The omni sighted stare of Buddha greets visitors & residents a like compassion. This is one of the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, which has been registered in UNICEOO heritage side. We then visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu durbar square situated the center of Kathmandu where you can see the House of Living Goddess”KUMARI” Kasthamandup temple” Said that was built from single tree in 16th century, big bell-big drams, erotic carving in old temple, old palace etc. We then finally were sightseeing to Patan Durbar Square. Patan Durbar square is one of the beautiful Durbars square in Kathmandu valley. It is very famous for woodcarving, Metal works, Temples and Monasteries. Tour of Patan includes tour of Krishna temple, Patan king’s palace, Golden temple and much more.

Days 03 : We drive to Trisuli in the morning and have lunch near the Trisuli Electricity dam. After lunch we walk for about 3 hours to Salangkhu Khola for our over night camp.

Days 04 : An easy walk and then a short climb take us to Kalawale village for lunch. After lunch we proceed to the big Tamang village of Balche for our overnight camp.

Days 05 : An easy walk from Balche village through a forest and camp with the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Gosainkunda in good view.

Days 06 : We walk through rhododendron forests this day to camp at Singla or Rupchet. Rupchet is a cattle pasture and Singla is the pass. The Singla pass offers spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchhre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II.

Days 07 : Excursion day

Days 08 : We walk up the Singla hill following small trails to Pangsung for our overnight camp from where the spectacular view can be seen.

Days 09 : We follow the ridge for our campsite of the day; Shomthang from where we can see very close view of Ganesh Himal.

Days 10 : Now undertake a gradual climb for the day to reach our campsite at Jogeshwarkunda Lake.

Days 11 : Rest day: People interested can do rock and peak climbing above (5000m) on this day.

Days 12 : This day we start our descent to Linju Khola for our overnight camp.

Days 13 : We walk down through pine and rhododendron forests to Shertung village, fully a Tamang culture village and set up there our camp.

Days 14 : A short flat trail and then a gradual descent passing through Borang village followed by crossing the Akhu Khola takes us to Laba, a big Tamang village.

Days 15 : A slight climb to cross a hill and then descend through forests to camp at Mongeythanti.

Days 16 : A gradual walk down through forests with lunch by a stream brings us to our camp at Dumchet village.

Days 17 : We take a gradual walk this day to Baseri and camp near the Budhigandaki river.

Days 18 : We walk along the bank of Budhigandaki River and stop at Arughat Bazar for the night.

Days 19 : We gradually climb the Khanchowk Danda crossing the Mukti khola for our overnight camp.

Days 20 : We cross a ridge this day and walk gradually up hill to Gorkha and our camp will set near the old palace.

Days 21 : We have a sightseeing tour of Gorkha Palace, the palace of the King Prithivi Narayan Shah who united Nepal in 1881 AD and visit the Bazar and then drive back to Kathmandu.

Days 22 : After breakfast drive to Pashupatinath. The holiest of holy Hindu temple in south Asia is the focal point of pilgrimage from all over the sub-continent. The holy river Bagmati flowing nearby is the cremation ground of the Hindus. Funeral pyres can be viewed from across the riverbank. We then visit to Boudhanath stupa. Probably the largest stupa in the world is also found in Kathmandu valley the great stupa of Boudhanath. Again the omni-sighted eyes of the Budha stare all the directions. This stupa is the place of worship of Tibetan Buddhists predominantly. We then drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum. Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. It is very famous for woodcarving and pottery products. Then after we have short visit to Changunarayan temple. This is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Kathmandu valley that exists in the valley dating back to the 4th century.

Days 23 : After breakfast, you are free as your own before drop to airport for your final destination.
