Kathmandu Sivapuri Nagarkot Trekking Detail Itinerary

Days 01 : Arrive at Tribhuwan international airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Our guide will explain briefly the program upon arrival at hotel.

Days 02 : After breakfast we drive to Pashupatinath temple. The holiest of holy Hindu temple in south Asia is the focal point of pilgrimage from all over the sub-continent. The holy river Bagmati flowing nearby is the cremation ground of the Hindus. Funeral pyres can be viewed from across the riverbank. We then visit to Bouddhanath. Probably the largest stupa in the world is also found in Kathmandu valley-the great stupa of Boudhanath. Again the omni-sighted eyes of the Buddha stare all the directions. This Stupa is the place of worship of Tibetan Buddhists predominantly. We then proceed on Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum. Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. It is very famous for woodcarving and pottery products. Finally we visit another Vishnu temple of Changunarayan which is the oldest known temple existing in the valley dating back to the 4th century.

Days 03 : After breakfast we driver to Budhanilakantha and trek to Shivapuri. Shivapuri is very good for walking through the forest and along the ridge with spectacular views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Jugal Himal. Camp at (2732m) SHIVAPURI that offers outstanding views of the Himalayas from the campsite.

Days 04 : Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the White Mountains. After breakfast, we start our treks to Chisapani (2194m). It takes 4 hours walk along the ridge between the Shivapuri watershed forest and the panoramic attraction of the Himalayas.

Days 05 : This day we walk between the village and forest, continue our journey to Nagarkot (2300m) above the sea level. This spot provides an excellent view of the sunset and Mount Everest can be seen on a clear day.

Days 06 : We'll awake early to watch the spectacular views of the Himalayas, the first rays of the sun firing the peaks a hellish red slowly lighting up the Himalayas from Kanchanjunga and Everest in the far east of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the west. Afternoon, we'll drive back to Kathmandu.
