Pokalde Peak (or Dolma Ri) is a mountain Peak which is situated at 12 km southwest of Mount Everest. Pokalde Peak Climbing is one of the shortest and easiest trekking peaks in the Everest Region. Pokalde Peak Climbing offer superb Himalayan views of Khumbu region. Pokalde Peak (5806m) is easy peak for climbing. Pokalde Peak is situated to the north of the Kongma La above the Khumbu glacier right opposite Lobuche Peak. Nepal is known for its magnificent peaks and spectacular natural landscapes.Pokalde Peak was first climbed in the year 1953. You can see the majestic views of the mountains like Everest (8848m.), Shishapangma (8035m.), Gosainthan (8013m.), Chooyu (8201m.), Lhotse (8516m.), Makalu (843m.), Mera peak (6476m.), Island peak (6189m.), Nuptse peak (7,855m.), Amadablam (6812m.). Pokalde Peak Climbing can be combine with classic Everest Base Camp Trekking. Pokalde Peak falls to Khumbu valley’s east and its distance from Everest is about two to three miles. One of the main attractions of Pokalde Peak Climbing would be the eye catching view of the Mount Everest which you could see from Kala Patthar and summit.

The route of Pokalde Peak Climbing goes through the beautiful forest of pine, juniper and rhododendron which make their journey untried. On the way Pokalde Peak Climbing trekkers crosses the beautiful waterfalls, calm lakes, Rivers and sacred monasteries which mark this journey as an unforgettable moment of their life. The main ethnic group of this region is Sherpa People. The route goes through Sherpa villages and these people are very humble and helpful. Modest Sherpa people make warm welcome to their guests with their ever smiling face. Sherpa people are very rich in their culture and festivals. If the climbers are interested in their culture and festivals they can easily participate with them in their culture.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350M/4425FT) (A)
Showing your name board, our airport representative waits in Kathmandu International Airport (TIA). You transfer to hotel, check in and free time. Have enjoy!
Day 2-3: Trip Final Preperation in Kathmandu (A,B)
In the morning, generally at 8 am, Eco-friendly Treks staff come to meet you at your hotel. Please manage to be there at lobby with:
(a) your original passport to prepare necessary adventure eco holiday permit/s from the concerned authority,
(b) a couple of same passport size photos for permit/s and,
(c) Trip final full payment. The staff introduce you with your trip guide at the same time. You have time to interact with your guide, he may check and suggest your trip equipmment and packing for the trip on your interest, please tell us if you like this. The rest of the day, you may buy or hire additional equipment and packing (if necessary). Then, you rest for acclimatization and final preperation for the trip. If you like any additional program for the day, please inform us at the time of mail corresponding.
Day 4: Katmandu-Lukla-Phakding: 35 min. flight and 3-4 hours trek: (A,B,L,D)
Early morning you will take flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This flight is more interesting because you can see the most beautiful mountains of Nepal from the helicopter. The trek starts from Lukla, passes Chaurikharka village, and makes a descent towards the Dudhkoshi Ghat. The trail follows the strict bank of the Dudhkoshi River until camp at Phakding is reached.
Day 5: Phakding-Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hrs: (A,B,L,D)
The trail cross Dudhkosi River through a long suspension bridge then trail leads you crossing side by side along the river to Hilary’s Suspension Bridge. The trail further climbs from here to Namche Bazaar..
Day 6: Namche Bazaar, rest day: (A,B,L,D)
Namche bazaar is known as gate way to Mount Everest and this is the very beautiful to visit and stay. You can spend the day taking a day walk hike to Thame, by visiting Khunde or by relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar.
Day 7: Trek to Tengboche Monastery: 5 hrs. (A,B,L,D)
from Namche bazaar you will move to Tengboche monastery and this is the very beautiful monastery of this region. Your guide will explain in detail about the local monastery situated here. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the days trekking went. Stay O/N at guesthouse.
Day 8: Trek to Pheriche, 4 -5 hrs .trek: (A,B,L,D)
We descend for half an hour to river side through pleasant forest, cross the river and start trekking up towards opposite hill and landscapes starts more dry and desert afterwards. We will cross a traditional and cultural Sherpa village Pangboche where we can see a close up daily activities of Sherpa people. After this, we make a gradual up towards a small hill afterwards trail goes to wide mountain valley called Pheriche. This is a nice big village located on the riverside. Stay O/N at guesthouse.
Day 9: Trek to Lobuche, 5-6 hrs trek (A,B,L,D)
We start easy and straight walking towards left corner of the river and make a steady walk up to reach Dungla. After lunch, the trek goes from Dughla directly up to the Khumbu Glacier for an hour, then reach to the village of Lobuche from here effects of the altitude will seems in colder nights. Stay O/N at guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek to Gorek shep, 3/4 hours trek (A,B,L,D)
The trek continues ascend to Gorekshep. It takes 3/4 hours walking up to Kala Pattar this small peak offers the stunning glimpse of Mt. Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam and other beautiful peaks of this region. Stay O/N at tent camp.
Day 11: Visit Everest Base Camp & Trek back to Lobuche 6-7 hrs. (A,B,L,D)
This day we will reach to the Base Camp of Mt. Everest walking through rocky and glacial trails where climbers gather for summiting Everest. After admiring the beautiful mountains from Everest base camp we will return to Lobuche village. Stay O/N at guesthouse.
Day 12: Trek to Chhukung, 5-6 hours trek (A,B,L,D)
we will go trek via Khumbu Glacier and Kongma La Base Camp then continues ascending to Kongma pass then descending a gradual walks up the Imja valley to Chhukung a small summer settlement. Overnight in Chhukung (4,730m/15,518ft) where you make final preparation for climbing. Stay O/N at lodge.
Day 13: Chhukung to Pokalde Base Camp 3 -4 hrs trek (A,B,L,D)
From Chhukung we will reach to Pokalde base camp after completing 3/4 hours adventurous trek. Here we will make the final preparation for the climbing of this peak. Stay O/N at tent camp.
Day 14: Climb the peak and back Chhukung: (A,B,L,D)
From its base camp we will gradually climb this peak. Though this peak climbing is not so difficult but it has snow covered rocks so everyone should be conscious while climbing. From its summit beautiful towering snowy peaks of South East, North West and West can be seen. After admiring the beautiful scenery from its summit we will return back to Chhukung. Stay O/N at lodge.
Day 15: Chhukung / Dingboche 5/6 hours trek: (A,B,L,D)
From Chhukung we will descend to Dingboche through scrub junipers and around Mani stones as it follows the hillside along with beautiful scene and scenery of this region. This is the Sherpa village so here we can see the typical Sherpa life style. Stay O/N at guesthouse.
Day 16: Trek to Tengboche 6-7 hrs. (A,B,L,D)
The trail makes a gradual descend through scrub junipers and around Mani stones as it follows the hillside. The trail passes many Mani walls in deep rhododendron forests where crossing after the Imja khola, the trail climbs many carved Mani stones to Pangboche. Pangboche Gompa is the oldest in Khumbu; a visit will be well worth. Walk down to the valley from where the trail is shallower through alpine meadows. Followed by climb gradually up to Tengboche where the biggest monastery lies in the whole of Khumbu. Stay O/N at guest house.
Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar, 5-6 hrs. (A,B,L,D)
Walk down through several monasteries and continue down until you reach Phunki Tenga. Climb up gradually through a forest. Once you are out of the forest, you will be walking along a ridge from where you can see down on your left some of the deepest gorges of Nepal. In spring, the rhododendrons will look superb making the valley even more beautiful. We will reach to Namche bazaar. .
Day 18: Trek to Lukla, 5-6 hrs. (A,B,L,D)
Trek back to Lukla through the same trail, make celebration for the successful expedition of this peak with singing and dancing.
Day 19: Morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla: (A,B,L)
today you can enjoy with the stunning glimpse of the snow capped peaks which you have recently visited on the 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu: (A,B)
this day is free for you to do some desire activities in Kathmandu such as shopping, visiting and enjoying with friends.
Day 21: Transfer to international airport: (B)
This day we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.
