Singu Chuli Peak Climbing Nepal

Trip Overview

Singu Chuli (6,501 m) was formerly known as Fluted Peak. Singu Chuli Peak Climbing expedition has proven to be very difficult to climb for most commercial climbing groups who have tried to concentrate on Tent Peak. Singu Chuli Peak Climbing expedition is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome), which separates the South and West Annapurna Glaciers. Annapurna South Base Camp provides the best distant view of the mountain. Please beware that the area is stone falling prone area and the peak is technically very difficult to climb. Due to global warming, the landslide occurs numerous times resulting in the change of the route.

Actually, Singu Chuli Peak is located in the Annapurna Sanctuary attached to Tharpu Chuli and transverse Hiunchuli peaks. For climbing Singu Chuli Peak, we march up the Modi Khola ravine to the Annapurna Sanctuary. This is striking walk along the Modi River which flows from the Annapurna Base Camp which is very holy to the Magar and Gurung people of this area. You will enjoy the great cultural diversity in the Landruk, Ghandruk, Chhomorong, Ghorepani. Before entering the Fish tail (Machhapuchhare Base Camp) and Annapurna Base Camp, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the world’s highest mountains. We climb all the way through the glaciers towards north crest where we will set our high camp at an elevation of 4,900m. From high camp of Singu Chuli we keep on climbing to summit.

Singu Chuli Peak Climbing

The caravan route for Singu Chuli Peak Climbing expedition lies inside Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA).
