Trip Overview

Dolpo, a land beyond the Himalayas is situated between the Tibetan plateau and the Dhaulagiri ranges. It is situated in the western part of the country, and is one of the most remote regions in Nepal. Upper Dolpo Upper Dolpo Trekking Eco-holidays is only been permitted since mid- 1989.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350M/4425FT) (A)
Showing your name board, our airport representative waits in Kathmandu International Airport (TIA). You transfer to hotel, check in and free time. Have enjoy!

Day 2: Trip Final Preperation in Kathmandu (A,B)
In the morning, generally at 8 am, Eco-friendly Treks staff come to meet you at your hotel. Please manage to be there at lobby with:
(a) your original passport to prepare necessary adventure eco holiday permit/s from the concerned authority
(b) a couple of same passport size photos for permit/s and
(c) Trip final full payment. The staff introduce you with your trip guide at the same time. You have time to interact with your guide, he may check and suggest your trip equipmment and packing for the trip on your interest, please tell us if you like this. The rest of the day, you may buy or hire additional equipment and packing (if necessary). Then, you rest for acclimatization and final
preperation for the trip. If you like any additional program for the day, please inform us at the time of mail corresponding.

Day 3: Fly to Nepalgunj (165M/541FT) (50 min) (A,B,L,D)
Early morning, after breakfast we will reach international airport and take a 50 minutes flight to Nepalgunj airport. Today we will explore the place and take rest. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 4: Drive to Juphal (2320M/7611FT) and trek to Dunai (2110M/6922FT) (3HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast we will drive to airport to take flight early in the morning to Juphal airport. After we reach there we will start to walk and descend through meadows to reach Dunai. After 3 hours we will reach Dunai.

Day 5: Trek to Chepka (2670M/8760FT) (7HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast we will start our trek to reach Chepka. After walking seven hours of ups and downs we will meet Chepka. Overnight at lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Renje (3010M/9875FT) (6HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast our trek start to reach Renje. We will trek about 6 hours enjoying the nature of the way.

Day 7: TreK to Ringmo (3735M/12254FT) (7HRS) (A,B,L,D)
Today early morning, after breakfast we will start our trek to reach Ringmo which takes about 7 hours of walking from Renje. On the way you can enjoy the beautiful sceneries.

Day 8: Rest day at Ringmo village (3735M/12254FT) (A,B,L,D)
Visit and explore here about Phokundo Lake 3615m, White Pal Sentan Thasoon Chholing Gompa and Ramshackle Bon-Po Gompa. There are few private gompas too.

Day 9: Trek to Chunemba (3630M/11909FT) (6HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start from southern end of the lake with rocky trail. Descent steeply dust trail through forest of birch and blue pines the the westernmost edge of the lake. After 6 hours of trekking we will reach our today’s destination Chunemba.

Day 10: Trek to Lar Tsa (4120M/13505FT) (5-6HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start through a flat trail to the north glacier valley. After 5-6 hours of trek we will reach our today’s destination Lar Tsa.

Day 11: Trek to Mendok Ding (4610M/15124FT) (3HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to cross a bridge and climb to a top 4490m. Continue climb up through a grassy land. Few hours of ups and downs leads you to today’s destination Mendok Ding.

Day 12: Trek to Shey Gompa (4310M/14140FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
Today morning, after breakfast trek start to the upper part of Phoksundo Khola. After 8 hours of trekking we will reach Shey Gompa.

Day 13: Rest day (A,B,L,D)
Today is the acclimatization day. We will roam around to keep body fit. You can enjoy many beautiful sceneries there.

Day 14: Trek to Namgung (4430M/14521FT) (7HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start through Shey Gompa in the east. Climb uphill to reach Shey La pass 5010m. Afterward turn north and descend down. Climb again to reach Namgung.

Day 15: Trek to Karang (4050M/13276FT) (5-6HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start through Namgung Khola valley to reach Karang. Today we trek around 5-6 hours to reach Karang.

Day 16: Trek to Mugaon (4100M/13451FT) (7HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to reach Torak Sumdo 3670m with the confluence of the Polang Khola and Namgung Khola. It takes about 7 hours to rach Mugaon.

Day 17: Trek to Shimen (4010M/13156FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start through river valley. Climb to reach Mushi La pass 5030m. Now descend into Shimen village. Continue walk to reach at camp site avove the village. This is a pasture of the domestic animals.

Day 18: Trek to Tinje (4150M/13615FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
Today after breakfast we will climb down to the Shimen village 3870m. A walk continues and climbs uphill to reach Pha 4090m. After 8 hours of trek we will reach Tinje.

Day 19: Trek to Rakpa (4530M/14862FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start through runway (airport) trail. And after 8 hours of trek we will reach Rakpa which is located at the bank of the river.

Day 20: Trek to Chharka (4120M/13517FT) (7-8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to continue uphill to reach Chharka La 4920m. Descend through the side of the valley and climb down hill to the valley 4290m. After 7-8 hours we will reach Chharka.

Day 21: Trek to Norbulung (4750M/15583FT) (7HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to down hill to the river and follow the right fork southward. Walk through a rough trail with uphills and downhills. It is a narrow valley at first then arrives a big meadow. Now climb to reach the camp site in Norbulung.

Day 22: Trek to Sangda Phedi (5460M/17913FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to climb uphill. We will continue climb uphill till 8 hours. Climb steeply to reach a pass and reach the camp site.

Day 23: Trek to Sangda (3700M/12139FT) (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast we start our trek start to reach Sangda. It takes around 8 hours to reach there.

Day 24: Trek to Dhagarjun (8HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast our trek start to reach Dhagarjun. It takes around 8 hours to reach there. On the way we will enjoy breath taking sceneries.

Day 25: Trek to Jomsom (2710M/8891FT) (6HRS) (A,B,L,D)
After breakfast trek start to Jomsom. Jomsom is famous for apple. Jomsom is windy valley. It takes around 6 hours to reach Jomsom. You can enjoy many sceneries here.

Day 26: Flight to Pokhara (830M/2723FT) (20MIN) (A,B,L,D)
We will take a flight to reach Pokhara. It takes around 20 minutes to reach Pokhara Airport.

Day 27: Drive back to Kathmandu (Flights also available) (A,B,L,D)
After our breakfast, we take a drive to Kathmandu or take a flight to Kathmandu.

Day 28: At Leisure/ Spare day (A,B)

Day 29: Departure to your destination(B)
Today is your departure day, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and pray for your Safe journey.
