Itinerary
Before your trip, we must ensure that all paperwork and other preparations are made. We will also have a meet-up and pre-trip discussion with the trek guide in our office. You will be responsible for your own food and lodging in Kathmandu, since Kathmandu offers a variety of accommodation options from which you can select one of your interests. If you require assistance with that, we are always available.
On this day, we will drive to Bhandara. We will leave early as it is a long drive. The road is pitched initially, and then we will take the gravel road. The bus journey is a scenic one. You will come across terraced farm fields, jungles, and a few settlements.
Today after breakfast, we start our trek descending to Sete crossing the Linku River (1,580 m/5,183 ft). We then begin ascending Lamjura hill. We can find a monastery during the trip. During the trek, we can see various villages of Sherpa people. Sherpa culture is the most common culture in this place. You can observe their lifestyle and immerse them within it—overnight in Sete.
Today's trek starts with the long ascending to Lamjura pass (3,530 m/11,579 ft). This pass is the highest point between Namche bazaar and Jiri. Again we will descend to reach Junbesi following the trial of Tragdobuk (2,860 m/9,381 ft). Junbesi is a beautiful village covered with the culture of the Sherpa people. Overnight in Junbesi.
Today, our trek starts with ascending to a ridge (3,080 m/10,102 ft). You can catch a small view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m/29,021 ft). The trial leads to Hospital, the district's headquarters, and a small market in Salleri. We descend towards Ringmo Khola (2,650 m/8,692 ft) and start walking to reach Trakshindo Pass (3,071 m/10, 073 ft). After reaching Trakshindo Pass, we will descend to reach Nunthala (2,440 m/8,003 ft). Overnight in Nunthala.
Today our trial starts with descending to Dudh Koshi River and ascending again. On the way, we find villages of Sherpa culture people and pass through the forests to reach Bhupsa.
This day will be the final day before we join the trail of the famous Everest Base Camp Trek. The altitude will slowly start to rise as we climb a ridge that is situated at an altitude of about 2300.
We ascend from Surkhe and again climb to a final ridge. We again descend to reach Phakding that day.
Today we start our trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar through beautiful Khumbu village. Pine forests, the Dudh Koshi River, and the breathtaking scenery are just a few of our many tourist draws. We have now officially entered Sagarmatha National Park. This park preserves various species of floras and faunas. Namche Bazaar is probably one of the most significant towns in the Everest region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Today, we rest in Namche Bazaar to avoid high altitude problems. We can hike up early morning to Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise view, which includes beautiful Mt. Lhotse (8516 m/27,932 ft), Mt. Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and so on. You might also round up Namche Bazaar, which has a small and beautiful market. We will visit the Hillary and Sherpa museum.
The trail descends from Khunde and through Khumjung with chortens forming a dramatic frame to a view of Ama Dablam (6,856m), and Kangtega (6685m.) flanked by the towering heights of Sagarmatha (Everest), Lhotse and Nuptse. You might have an opportunity on the route to stop by the historic gompa that is tucked away in a forest near Khumjung.
You then descend through rhododendron and blue pine forests to the settlement of Trashinga before continuing to Phungithanga, 3,250m/10,663ft, with its prayer wheels, where you cross the Dudh Kosi. Finally, on a high saddle, you ascend through lovely forests to reach Thyangboche, the Khumbu region's principal monastery.
The path descends through forests to Dingboche, where a visit to the charming little nunnery is highly recommended. More cottages and "mani" walls may be seen as the path meanders down the river valley between the woods. After passing a bridge over a beautiful gorge, the trail gradually climbs, offering breathtaking vistas of Ama Dablam in the distance. Lofty mountains encircle the picturesque settlement of Dingboche. Here, barley is produced in the summer at the highest altitude on the planet.
This morning you climb the mountain to a sizable Chorten above the settlement of Dingboche, and from there, it is a short hike onto a broad, green plateau. You can see Pheriche town in the valley down to your left and the peaks of Tawoche and Cholatse tower above you. As you go forward, you will reach Thukla.
Now that the scenery is untamed and rugged, it truly feels like you are in the mountains. You quickly arrive at the collection of homes at Lobuche by following the creek (frequently frozen) at one side of the moraine. This somewhat desolate area was formerly a yak-grazing village that was only occupied in the summer. From here, one may see a gorgeous sunset over Nuptse. It is worthwhile to cross the moraine to see the glacier-covered moraine behind the moraine.
After leaving Lobuche, you go over tangled moraine and fractured rock as you proceed northeast along the Khumbu Glacier's flank. You traverse the moraine in a series of vigorous ascents and descents before going to Gorak Shep; it's enjoyable. We will finally reach Gorakshep, the townsite closest to Everest Base Camp.
You will be in the best location at Gorak Shep to climb Kala Pattar in the early evening. Although not far, it is a challenging ascent that takes around two to three hours. Great views of Everest, the Himalayan giants Pumori (7,145m), Changtse (4,501m), Nuptse, Lhotse, and countless other needles and snow-fluted ridges, may be had from the summit of Kala Pattar.
Today we start our trek to base camp. We can feel the cold wind as we will begin our trek early morning today. After reaching base camp, you can observe the breathtaking views of eight thousand-meter mountains. After attending the majestic scenery, we will start our journey back to Pheriche.
We return to Namche Bazar today. In today's trek, we must go through various uphill and downhill and through the forest of diverse floras and faunas. On this route, you can enjoy the views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Nuptse, and various other mountains.
Today we will take mostly descent whole day to reach Lukla. We can enjoy the view and sound of the Dudh Koshi River during our trek. We pass through a few monasteries and bridges to get to Lukla. Today is the last day of our trek so you can enjoy the last moment of you in the mountains today.
Be assured that our employees in Kathmandu and Lukla will do their power to minimize any discomfort if flights into Lukla are occasionally delayed owing to weather conditions, whether in windy Lukla or fog-bound Kathmandu. It is best to schedule a few extra days because you may experience delays, putting you at risk of missing your international flight. If you have enough time, you can walk down the same trail and drive back to Kathmandu.
Please Note: Sometimes, due to last-minute changes in government rules, airline schedules, or in the case of natural calamities like floods, landslides, etc., a few changes in the itinerary may happen.
