We guide you to the immense beauty that offers the five eight thousand peaks, which might support your transformation.

Pikey Peak Trek is one of the best-hidden beauty destinations for a holiday in Nepal. On a clear day, the world’s highest peak will surround you when you reach Pikey Peak. During the walk, you will feast your eyes and soul on Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Sishapangma, Thamserku, Mera Peak, and others.

On the way to Pikey Peak, you will encounter many rare plants and animals. You will find this trek to be the most important place for natural and biological variety. You will also be blessed to pass through the stupas and colorful Tibetan prayer flags.

Your trek starts with the 7-8-hour drive from Kathmandu to Dhap. You will then pass through several small villages in Dhap, Jhapre, and finally Pikey Base. Early in the morning, we will be going to the Pikey Peak viewpoint for the endless horizon and panoramic view of the Himalayas. From this viewpoint, you will see five 8,000-meter peaks and other small peaks. The view will be enhanced when the morning sunrise reflects on those white, dazzling peaks. This golden hour will cherish the moments by providing the best moments with stunning orange light over the mountains and sky.

Altitude Sickness and Acclimatization of Pikey Peak Trek

The Pikey Peak Trek is a moderate trek that moves up to 4,065 meters above sea level. This trip begins around 2800 meters and follows a human-made path, a safe trekking route. On this journey, we do not climb above 2450 m daily.

At a height of 3,640 meters, the probability of developing high-altitude sickness is relatively low. However, over 3000 meters, the journey can sometimes be uneasy, as the low oxygen levels can make breathing difficult. While at a high altitude, it is usually best to give your body time to acclimate to the thinner air. It would be best if you walked gently and gradually.

Consuming reasonable quantities of liquids will aid in keeping the disease under control. These liquids include water, tea, soup, and others. To prevent the situation from worsening, the necessary precautions must be taken.

However, your guide will always have your back if you develop altitude sickness. We simply ask that you keep them informed of even the most minor changes in your health, which will assist you in monitoring your health.

Before participating in high-altitude trekking, you need to begin exercising. Join a gym, hike on rugged terrain, and maintain a healthy diet. This is of great assistance on the walk.

Pikey Peak Trek Packing Suggestions

Personal medical equipment with electrolyte packs, pain killers, muscle relaxant cream, band-aids, knee caps, medicines for fever, common cold, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, and any other personal medication is necessary from your side.

Communication in Pikey Peak Trek

The route of the Pikey Peak Trek traverses diverse ecosystems. Even in this age of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT), it is challenging to develop in remote locations because of geography.

Although most settlements along the Pikey Peak Trek now have access to cell phones and telephone services, most teahouses offer Internet connectivity for an hourly cost. Nevertheless, weather conditions, such as heavy snowfall and rainfall, might occasionally disrupt services.

With a professional guide, the trek can be done smoothly. However, we won’t suggest bringing kids who are too young (less than five years old) to go hiking at high altitudes.
