Upon reaching Okhaldhunga, the path ascends, and it takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach Dhap village. This village is surrounded by a diverse landscape, green hills and serene lakes.
After early morning breakfast, we will start our trek from the ridgeline south of Dhap. After some hours of walking, you will reach Sigane. Upon reaching here, you will start to see some glimpses of mountains, including the Numbur Himal section of the Himalayan Range. You will walk into the under-construction road for a couple of hours. We suggest you take a slow step so that no accident will occur.
After ascending steep trails and passing through local settlements, we finally arrived at Jhapre. From Dhap, it takes around 4 hours to reach Jhapre. This village is perched above a deep valley with a nice view of mt. Everest and Mt. Numbur.
After early morning breakfast, we will climb up to the ridge of bushes. After some hours of the uphill climb, we will reach Bhulbhule. Reaching Bhulbhule might be challenging for some people due to the steep uphill. After reaching the top of the ridge, the trail will be split in two, and we are going to the right side of the trail.
We will then cross yak pastures, old houses, and long mani walls. The trail then takes us to the hillside below Taklung Hill and goes through a rhododendron forest. From March through May, you will find lots of rhododendron flowers along the path. After some hours, we will finally reach Pikey Peak base camp.
We climb Pikey peak before the sun to see the mesmerizing sunrise view over the white peak. After the gradual climb, you will see the summit covered with prayer flags. This hike might be energy-draining as the descent is steep.
As we reach the top, the view you see is breathtaking. You will be rewarded with a panoramic view of many eight-thousanders. Mt. After spending quality time on top, we will descend into the Jhase Bhanjyang. We follow the same ridgeline as the trail is flat at the initial stage, but then it steepens into the forest. After a few hours, we will reach the Jhase Bhanjyang.
After the early morning breakfast, we will start our trek by descending to reach Junbesi. As we are walking, we reach out of the village and descend the hillock, which comes with splendid sights of landscapes. You will pass Lamjura hill, immersing in the deep forest with the sound of birds and winds. If you are here in the spring season, the hills will be painted with multiple colors of rhododendron flowers.
After a few hours of descending steeply through excellent woods, we reach Taktor. We then join the main EBC trekking trail connected from the Jiri. From here, you will see the rapid development of the basic infrastructure.
