Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek takes you to best off the beaten path and Dhaulagiri massif makes the extremely exciting journey. Mt. Dhaulagiri came from the Sanskrit word where “dhawala” means dazzling, white, beautiful and “giri” means mountain. Your trekking will be awesome when you witness the world’s seventh highest mountain in the world.
Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is adventurous where you will enjoy the stunning glaciers and high snow-clad passes and difficult terrain. You will fall in love and sweep into paradise with the lush landscape, hidden valleys, high mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna and other 23 small peaks. During your trek, you will cross 2 high mountain passes, French pass (5,360 m) and Dhampus Pass (5,234 m) which you find more adventurous. Along with beautiful mountain and amazing terrain, you will also find a richness of flora and faunas in Dhaulagiri Circuit trek. You will cross through beautiful dense forest and unspoiled agricultural fields.
Your journey starts with the scenic drive to Beni which is your trekking starting point. During your trek, you will pass through the beautiful village of Darbang, Muri, and Chariban to Italian and Dhaulagiri Base Camp. The highest point of this trekking is the French pass (5,360 m). Due to its remoteness, you will find this trekking more adventurous.

Day 01: Arrival at the Kathmandu (1,345 m). Overnight at hotel.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be there to pick you up. There will be tour briefing in the afternoon if you are free.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Darbang (1100m).
Early morning we fly to Pokhara which takes about 30 min by air. We drive to Darbang through Kali Gandaki valley and Myagadi Khola valley.
Day 03: Trek to Sibang (1770 m) 6-7 hours of trek.
Today, we will pass through several villages en route to the ridge-top settlement of Dharapani. After trekking for 6-7 hours we will reach to Sibang via Takam.
Day 04: Trek to Naura Bhir (1450 m) – 7-8 hours of trek.
Today, we trek to the large village of Muri where we stop for lunch , before continuing our ascent of the Myagdi Khola valley to Naura Bhir
Day 05: Trek to Lapche Kharka (2000 m) –7-8 hours of trek.
We trek north side, following Myagdi River, to the village of Baghara. We descend to the river again before climbing to Lapche Kharka.
Day 06: Trek to Sallaghari (2500 m) – 6-7 hours of trek
The trail continues climbing to the dence forest to the open grazing area of Dobang. After lunch we continue to Sallaghari for overnight stay.
Day 07: Trek to Italian Base Camp (3660 m) – 4-5 hours of trek.
Today, we trek through a forest area and cross moraine to reach the Italian Base camp (3,660 m). We make our camp facing the west side of Dhaulagiri.
Day 08: Trek to Japanese Camp (4200 m) – 3-4 hours of trek.
Continuing to the ascent Myangdi Khola, we make the short but steep climb to our next camp known as 'Japanese Camp' or Chhonbardan Glacier Camp (4200m). Today the trail will be little steep and adventurous. From Japanese Camp, you will witness the great view of the Dhaulagiri peaks.
Day 09: At Japanese Camp.
We are now above 4,000 meters so we need to acclimatize. Our next camp will be at 4700 meters so it is important for acclimatization day. Today we will rest and enjoy the amazing face of Dhaulagiri.
Day 10: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4748 m) – 7-8 hours of trek
Today, we trek across moraine of the Dhaulagiri West Icefall to reach Dhaulagiri Base camp (4748m). Upon reaching Dhaulagiri Base Camp, you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Day 11: Rest at Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Today we acclimatize our body because tomorrow we are going to the highest point of this trekking. You can enjoy the panoramic view of beautiful mountains.
Day 12: Trek to Hidden Valley (5120 m, via French Pass(5360 m) 6-7 hours of trek.
Today, we start our trek bit earlier crossing moraine to eventually reach a ridge that takes us to snow slopes leading to the French Pass (5360m). We cross the French pass to reach the Hidden Valley located behind Dhaulagiri.
Day 13: At Hidden Valley.
The Hidden Valley is an amazing spot for exploration. This day also serves as a spare or contingency day in the case of delays up to this point.
Day 14: Trek to Yak Kharaka (3837 m) via Dhampus pass 8-9 hours of trek.
We climb back up to the other end of the valley and then take the high traverse across to lower Dhampus Pass (5280 m). Once we are over the pass, we descend steeply to Yak Kharka (3827 m).
Day 15: Trek to Jomsom (2736 m) – 4-5 hours of trek
Today we descend to the bottom of Kali Gandaki Valley and the pretty village of Marpha (2667m). After a short trek to the north side takes us to Jomsom (2736 m).
Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara. 30 min flight.
The 30 minutes scenic flight to Pokhara makes you feel amazing.
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu. 30 min flight.
We will have an early morning flight to Kathmandu where we will check in our hotel at Kathmandu. At leisure time you can walk in the evening for shopping.
