Trip Schedule

Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Trek

01
Car 25 minutes
Accommodation Hotel
Max-altitude (1300 m / 4265 ft)

Before your trip, we must ensure that all paperwork and other preparations are made. We will also have a meet-up and pre-trip discussion with the trek guide in our office.

Note: Your accommodation in Kathmandu must be arranged on your own. It is best to schedule a few extra days in Kathmandu as flights to Lukla occasionally experience delays, putting you at risk of missing your international flight.

Meals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Max-altitude 2651 m / 8697 ft

We will meet at Tribhuvan domestic airport, Kathmandu, for a flight to Lukla. The exact time will be communicated to you by the previous evening. Typically, less than an hour to Lukla offers you the most spectacular view in fairly straightforward weather. In the clear morning, the Himalayan views toward the northern side and the rugged foothills immediately stretching southward are incredible.

After the necessary luggage arrangement after landing at Lukla airport, you will head northwest through Lukla village. Eventually, trekkers will reach the Dudh Koshi River, which is the endpoint of the trek at Phakding.

Max-altitude 3440 m / 11286 ft

The path ascends the valley beside the stream, passing past other tiny towns, evergreen forests, and regions of trees. A further two to three hours of hiking will lead you to Chumoa (2,743m), a charming settlement of around 25 homes at the base of Mountain Thamserku (6,608m) and close to the entrance to the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park.

Once you cross Monjo Khola (River), you shortly arrive in Monjo. Shortly after departure from Manjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park will have arrived at Jorsale. You continue after the completion of the necessary entry formalities. Your trails continue alongside the river, arriving at the confluence of the Imja River and the Nangpo River, the Dudh Koshi River.

Once you cross this river on a high bridge, your trail becomes a steep climb to gain a richer altitude in the town of Namche. The existence permits you to observe Sagarmatha (Everest) with Lhotse for the first time if the weather is also allowed from near the halfway point up the hill. From here, the trails become gentler (less steep) to Namche.

Namche, one of the most prosperous towns, is a beautiful sherpa village decorated with several Himalayan peaks, mainly Thamserku (6,608 m) to the east and Kwangde (6,224 m) to the west. Khumbu Yul Lha (5761 m). Khumbu Yul Lha, which dominates the skyline to the north behind the village, is the most sacred peak to locals. Namche mingles with cafes, handicraft shops, mountaineering gear shops, and foodstuffs, among others. Observe within; lethargy and its consequences may be due to altitude gain.

Be more conscious of walking up the hill to the Sagarmatha National Park headquarters and visiting the NP museum. From this hilltop, better views of Sagarmatha (Everest) and Ama Dablam can be observed reasonably straightforwardly. The hike can be extended to Khumjung village (3780 m)

05

Max-altitude 3956 m / 12979 ft

After leaving Khunde, hikers pass through Khumjung, where chortens provide a dramatic backdrop to their view of Ama Dablam (6,856 m), and Kangtega (6685 m), flanked by the towering heights of Sagarmatha (Everest), Lhotse and Nuptse. You might have the opportunity on the route to stop by the historic gompa that is tucked away in a forest near Khumjung. The Yeti scalp is safely stored in a case like this one.

Keep an eye out for blood pheasants and stunning Impeyan pheasants as you make your way down from the village, first through walled farms and then through moss-covered rhododendron forest. You then descend through rhododendrons and blue pine forests to the settlement of Trashinga before continuing to Phungithanga, 3,250 m/10,663 ft, with its prayer wheels, where you cross the Dudh Kosi.

Finally, on a high saddle, you ascend through lovely forests to reach Thyangboche, the Khumbu region’s principal monastery. Thyangboche is situated on a forested ridge at Kangtega’s foot. This position allows panoramic views of the prominent peaks of Khumbu, including Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, in clearly visible time. Recognizing and changing yourself toward joyous wholeness is possible by viewing such a monastery in the Himalayan scenery decorated with prayer flags and chanting.

There should be time this afternoon to visit the monastery; be prepared for a small donation while you visit monasteries. For three days, the Mani Rimdu Festival is celebrated, respecting Guru Padmasambhava, each year from September to November in the monastery. Be aware that the ‘running order’ of the festival and even the dates can occasionally shift unexpectedly.

If not yesterday, you left Thyangboche after visiting the monastery. The path descends through forests to Dingboche, where a visit to the charming little nunnery is highly recommended. More cottages and “mani” walls may be seen as the path meanders down the river valley between the woods.

After passing a bridge over a beautiful gorge, the trail gradually climbs, offering breathtaking vistas of Ama Dablam in the distance. In both directions, there are many fantastic photo opportunities and frequently passing chortens and mani walls as one gains height to approach the village of Pangboche. This village is charming, with fields enclosed by stone walls and an intriguing monastery perched high in the town.

The Khumbu region’s oldest monastery, possibly dating back to when Buddhism was first introduced there, is this one. A “yeti” claw and scalp were once stored here, but they were stolen a while back. As you proceed from Pangboche, the path rises above the town, its height now reflected in the sparse surroundings. At Orsho, you pass small huts used by yak herders and walled farms before fording a stream and beginning the last, challenging trek to Dingboche.

Lofty mountains encircle the picturesque settlement of Dingboche. Here, barley is produced in the summer at the highest altitude on the planet. You must devote two days to acclimatization.

From Dingboche, there are numerous chances for fascinating acclimatization walks. The ridge behind the settlement can be climbed on foot for a strenuous ascent of Naga Dzong Ri. The climb up to the peak of this mountain, which is 5,083 meters high and offers breathtaking views of Makalu and Amphu Laptse, is steep but not technically challenging.

On the way down, you can stop at Nagartsang Gompa, a tiny temple with a pleasant, protected terrace where you can take in the scenery. You will arrive in the village in time for lunch. You might want to stroll over to the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic in the town of Pheriche in the afternoon because one of the doctors there frequently discusses high-altitude acclimation. If none of these choices appeal to you, you can take a 4-5 hour round trip hike up the valley to the yak grazing meadows at Chukhung, 4,730m.

08

Meals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Max-altitude 4938 m / 16200 ft

This morning, you climb the mountain to a sizable Chorten above the settlement of Dingboche, and from there, it is a short hike onto a broad, green plateau. You can see Pheriche town in the valley down to your left and the peaks of Tawoche and Cholatse tower above you. You arrive at a jumble of boulders marking the terminal moraine at the base of the Khumbu glacier in the quaint village of Duglha. To get to the summit of this mountain, which has many memorial cairns honoring those who have lost their lives climbing Everest, you must ascend it steeply.

Now that the scenery is untamed and rugged, it truly feels like you are in the mountains. You quickly arrive at the collection of homes at Lobuche by following the creek (frequently frozen) at one side of the moraine. This somewhat desolate area was formerly a yak-grazing village that was only occupied in the summer. Now, however, it is open all winter long to serve trekkers and climbers and as the starting point for trips to Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp.

From here, one may see a gorgeous sunset over Nuptse. It is worthwhile to cross the moraine to see the glacier-covered moraine behind the moraine.

Since you’re at a high altitude, bring some snacks to keep you satiated along the way, and fill your water bottle before you go. After leaving Lobuche, you go over tangled moraine and fractured rock as you proceed northeast along the Khumbu Glacier’s flank. There isn’t much vegetation in this area. Nevertheless, you can frequently see or hear little coveys of the adorable Tibetan Snow Cock along the route. After a short distance, you can come across the rear of a yak train.

You traverse the moraine in a series of vigorous ascents and descents before going to Gorak Shep; it’s enjoyable. Although still recognizable, the path is not simple. We appear to be clambering up and over boulders all the time. We will finally reach Gorakshep, the townsite closest to Everest Base Camp.

You will be in the best location at Gorak Shep to climb Kala Pattar in the early evening before clouds roll in to hide Everest’s summit. Although not far, it is a challenging ascent that takes around two to three hours before you reach Kala Pattar’s rocky top, which is the highest point of your walk at 5,545 meters. Today will fulfill your desire to see the magnificent, captivating Everest.

This desire to exist or interest in doing so often strongly focuses on “being in the state of wholeness.” Great views of Everest, the Himalayan giants Pumori (7,145m), Changtse (4,501m), Nuptse, Lhotse, and countless other needles and snow-fluted ridges may be had from the summit of Kala Patthar. In the late spring climbing season, you can also see the Khumbu glacier, where the base camp is situated. After that, you will descend to Gorak Shep.

The primary day of the Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) trip is today. It will undoubtedly be cold when you go off, so getting there before any clouds roll in requires an early start. Even if you don’t feel like it, have breakfast because you will need the energy. It is still a lengthy, pretty difficult climb from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp, following the top of the moraine and then dropping onto the glacier covered with boulders.

There may be mountaineering parties or yaks hauling supplies along the trail during the climbing season, but there are only a series of little cairns at other times. After a few hours, you arrive at the base camp region, from which you have magnificent up-close views of the scary Khumbu icefall and the surrounding landscape of ice seracs and fallen boulders, even though you cannot see the actual Everest summit from here.

The trip back to Gorak Shep will seem particularly far away at this height and drain your remaining energy. Take the path back to Lobuche from Gorak Shep. Rather than taking the way back to Dingboche, you descend to the bottom of the flat valley after leaving Lobuche and continue on the path until you reach Dughla. The town of Pheriche, where you will spend the night, is a short stroll from the accommodation.

As you descend, today will seem more laid-back than the previous few days! For lunch, you travel down to Pangboche. If you did not have time to visit the gompa during your ascent, you should now. After lunch, you can travel from Pangboche to a beautiful high trail that passes above the Imja Drengkha River.

This path wiggles along the side of the valley, providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Thyangboche, perched on its ridge. Look out for Himalayan Thar grazing amid the boulders and vultures circling overhead, including Lammergeier vultures, Himalayan griffon vultures, and golden eagles.

After that, you ascend to Kangzhuma and follow a gorgeous high track that winds around the slope above the Dudh Kosi River. Once more, the mountains across the valley are lovely to look at, especially Thamserku and Kang Taiga. Overnight, you descend into Namche.

The majority of people travel to Lukla with gloomy hearts. You will be helped up the seemingly lengthy last climb into Lukla by your memories of the setting, the communities, and the people of the high Khumbu hills and valleys. Finally, being able to drop a layer or two should be made possible by the milder weather. Still, enjoy the breathtaking views and the opportunity to unwind in the slightly warmer valley.

Following the main trail until it reaches Chablung, the route to Lukla branches off above Chaunrikharka and heads in that direction. At Chablung, signs point you in the direction of Lukla beyond the stream. Following a few bhattis and the school, the wide track ascends steadily to the left before passing through scrubby trees above Chaunrikharka’s school and homes.

Tamang Tole, a brand-new community not far from the airport, has a collection of houses and bhattis after a final, challenging ascent. Housing and lodging facilities multiply quickly as you get closer to the airport. You can finally unwind and sip a celebration beer when you arrive.

Essential Information - Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Core Trek

One of the results of technology’s ever-increasing presence in our daily lives is a worldwide trend toward increased social isolation. Nothing relieves mental and physical exhaustion more than getting away from electronic distractions and spending time outside walking among trees and natural landscapes. It is single-handedly one of the greatest things we can do for our health and wholeness all by itself.

Staying physically active and being in nature both heighten our senses, helping us to perceive our own feelings and thoughts. Core trekking in Everest is for you to immerse yourself in the dazzling Himalayas, and green hills, and connect with native people.

This departure is organized every March, when the season promises perfect temperatures and breathtaking mountainous scenery. We hope to give you a wide range of interests by taking you on a trek to the foot of Everest, where you can feel complete happiness.

Everest Base Camp Yoga Trek

Yoga retreats in scenic Everest Base Camp natural settings are a great way to unwind from city life. You can improve your relationship with the natural world by learning to appreciate and utilize your environment in new directions.

Everest Base Camp Yoga Trek is designed for you to help concentrate on your practice while taking advantage of the natural scenery in between. The departure will take place in April, considering the weather and environment favorable for yoga. Practicing yoga in nature may promote one’s connection to nature and might help us feel more at peace and more in tune with ourselves.

Everest Base Camp Trek Celebration

The Everest Base Camp celebration is a mix of trekking and the celebration of Nepalese festivals that have been going on for hundreds of years—a celebration through narrow ridges, barren landscapes, and stunning mountain views.

In cities, day-to-day life is busier; people are in large groups but alone, in a state of loneliness. In the Everest Base Camp Trek Celebration, we take this time to celebrate the holiday together. Being together will help unify unnecessary divisions of the self into a whole.

The trip will start at the Mani Rimdu Festival in October, at the Gyalpo Losar Festival in February, and at the Dumje Festival in May.

Everest Base Camp Trek Route Map

Are you wondering about the map of the EBC trek? If you click on the infographic image below, you will see the route map for EBC. The Everest Base Camp Trek distance is 14 days, starting with the adventurous flight to Lukla. The EBC trek distance from Lukla is about 38.5 miles, i.e., 62 kilometers. Then your trek starts ahead to Phakding, Namche Bazar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorak Shep before reaching Everest Base Camp. On the map, you will also see the extension route in the Everest region. You are using the same path to return to Lukla. But, in your interest, we may also use other branch routes in the case of customized trips for more exciting views.

Everest Base Camp Trek Difficulty

It is hard to get to Everest Base Camp and will test your strength. However, it is a mission that anyone can accomplish. The walk is not only for trained climbers, nor do you have to be an Olympian. The trek is delightful and adventurous, which travelers can achieve with intermediate levels of physical ability. Additionally, make yourself ready to walk at least 6–7 every day, excluding acclimatization day.

Among the several challenges during the trek, altitude is regarded as one of the most challenging. This journey begins at 3,000 meters, and the base camp is located at an elevation of 5,364 meters above sea level, which is relatively high. Since this is the case, it is strongly suggested that anyone with a breathing condition avoid the trek. Before trekking at high altitudes, it is recommended that the trekker seek good medical counsel and research on altitude sickness.

Everest Base Camp Trek Permit

When your trip starts by flying to Lukla, you need two permits: the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit and the Sagarmatha National Conservation Area Permit for the trek or accessing the Khumbu/Everest Region. The permit and fee you pay will support the preservation of the Everest region and local development.

Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit

Before starting your journey, one of the first permits you’ll need is an entrance permit from the Khumbu Municipality. It is a document issued by the local government and is necessary for entry into the Khumbu Region. The permit is evidence that you pose no harm to the people living in the Khumbu region by entering the area.

Sagarmatha National Park Permit

The federal government protects Sagarmatha National Park, and the national park is responsible for safeguarding the flora, fauna, and wild animals. We need a permit called a Sagarmatha National Park (SNP) Permit to enter the area. Under the direction of the Nepali government, the national park committee directly issues SNP licenses.

Like every other permit in Nepal, EBC trek permits are payable in Nepali rupees and are not extended past the visa expiration date.

Note: Please bring 8–10 passport-size photographs, which you will be asked for while making government documents.

Essential Information of Everest Base Camp Trek

Mt. EBC Trek History

The Mount Everest summit was first completed by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa on 29 May 1953. After that, trips to Everest Base Camp started gaining attention from adventurers.

Another significant event in Everest Base Camp Trek history is the establishment of Lukla Airport, initiated by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1964, which benefited the promotion of the trek worldwide. Hillary was dissatisfied with the runway’s soil resistance, so he bought local alcohol for the Sherpas and asked them to do a local dance, “foot-moving,” to compress the soil that did serve as the runway. The runway is far more comprehensive and paved now.

Lukla Flight and Weather for Everest Base Camp Trek

Surrounded on three sides by mountains, Lukla sits on a mountaintop as the doorway to the Everest region. Early mornings in the highlands have better visibility. Meanwhile, a tailwind gradually builds up throughout the afternoon. As a result, Lukla’s flights are only planned in the mornings.

The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is usually only 30 to 45 minutes long. You’ll witness solitary mountain valleys, watching the terraced scenery of Nepal’s interconnecting mountain ranges passing below you.

Furthermore, seasonality and visibility contribute to Lukla weather. While rain clouds are common throughout the monsoon season, thunderstorms and winds are normal during spring afternoons. Winters provide improved visibility in Lukla, but fog in Kathmandu can occasionally disrupt flights. And if the weather gets severe, Lukla Airport can close in minutes, for a longer duration, many days, disrupting flights.

Accommodation on Everest Base Camp Trek

With the expansion of the trekking sector, major trekking routes in the Everest region now have a sufficient number of lodges. All EBC trailside tea shops provide good food and lodging. The tea shops along the Everest Base Camp Trekking trail are well-kept and reasonably comfortable.

Many lodges now provide individual rooms for visitors. Twin-sharing-based rooms are familiar with basic furnishings. The ‘living room’ is where you dine and relax. At night, it is additionally heated with a pot-bellied burner. Many hikers bring books to read and cell phones to keep themselves entertained. Yet, you can also take it as a friendly place to meet other hikers.

Even though five-star-level hotels are already available, we provide standard to average accommodation and meals to make the cost more affordable. However, in your interest, we can guide the luxurious package on your request. Kindly inform us during the booking time if you have such an appeal.

Food on Everest Base Camp Trek

Many alternatives are available, from traditional Nepali dal-bhat (rice and lentil soup) to soups, spaghetti, and momos. It is not hard to be provided with foreign cuisine prepared by experienced chefs at popular tourist hubs. Yet, sticking to your diet plan is highly needed to maintain your health during the trek.

We develop our appropriate menu utilizing our long experience on what to have during the Everest Base Camp Trek. We plan the menu for your convenience during the walk, considering nutrition, hygiene, and many other factors.

Three altitude-friendly meals are served daily at the tea houses when climbing higher altitudes. The meals consist of liquid foods and other foods that provide energy, such as grains, cereals, lentil soup, hot tea, noodle soup, potatoes, etc.

More similar foods those locals consume help tackle the Everest region’s climate. Even those with dietary restrictions, such as a vegetarian or vegan diet, or those who cannot eat gluten, will find plenty of options to eat here.

Best season to trek EBC

Nepal’s Everest Base Camp Trek travels via dirt tracks, muddy hills, narrow trails, and high-altitude areas. Here, the weather is significant and plays a vital role. The best Everest Base Camp trek seasons are late September–November and March–June. During these months, the base camp temperatures can reach as low as -6°C, and conditions are generally steady.

Mount Everest experiences its primary summit season in April and May every year. One of the tours leaving in the spring months of the March-May mountaineering season will be perfect for you if you want to experience Everest Base Camp surroundings with all the excitement! However, traveling in the post-monsoon season, from September to December, is also an excellent alternative. At this time, it is the primary trekking season, and you can observe the surrounding elegance with more clarity.

Winter and monsoons are good times for trekking to enjoy peace, and botanical study time is an excellent time to trek. Mountains are more prominent in the winter due to the coverage of fresh snow. Still, high routes can be blocked, snow may fall, avalanches may occur, and there are obstacles. Are challenging during the winter.

Altitude Sickness & Acclimatization on EBC Trek

The risk of altitude-related illnesses comes from these high-altitude zones, like acute mountain sickness, high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE), and high-altitude cerebral edema (HACE). To ensure safety, it is essential to understand the hazards associated with these types of altitude sickness and how to recognize symptoms and react to them.

Everest Base Camp Trek’s altitude is 5364 meters above sea level. So, there is a high level of symptoms of altitude sickness at this height. Some of the main signs of altitude sickness are an intense headache, poor appetite, breathlessness, exhaustion, difficulty sleeping, nausea, rapid heartbeat, and severe dehydration. Seek medical attention if you experience these symptoms during your Everest Base Camp Trek.

Some tips will help you avoid altitude sickness on the Everest Base Camp Trek. Proper acclimatization, rest, ascending slowly, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes, staying hydrated, and eating plenty are the best remedies to prevent high altitude sickness. Additionally, mentally get ready to reject evil thoughts and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Following our years of experience, we will continue to share the experience based on the season, health status, and age range.

Communication in EBC Trek

The Everest trekking itinerary encounters different landscapes. Even in this age of highly modern information and communication technologies (ICT), the landscapes are challenging to approach developing in remote Everest. One cause is still not correctly developing the technologies in remote Everest. As communication is significant in such an area, a guide has a mobile that may help connect you. Though it is not as reliable as in the urban areas we generally live in, much ICT has been developing. Wi-Fi may be available in some places on this route.

Best Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal & alternative trek packages

We have other Everest alternative trek packages if you are willing to extend your Everest Base Camp trek holiday. I believe that we all have different choices while traveling, so we are ready to design an alternative package to suit your taste.

Some may want to stay in the Himalayas for a more extended period with more challenges, so for them, we have the Gokyo route. We also have the Three High Passes Trek option if you want to travel in any season except winter. Suppose you’ll skip the adventurous flight of Lukla and trek from Jiri to EBC.

We also have some luxury lodge trips to EBC, in case you want more facilities in a remote mountain. Also, if you are short on time and still want to see Everest, then we will present you with the Everest View Trek. You can also choose to take a helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp.

FAQs about Everest Base Camp Trek

The highest point on the Everest Base Camp Trek is Kala Patthar (5,545 m/18,192 ft.). This viewpoint provides the best view of Everest, Nuptse, and other famous peaks. It is the unique viewpoint located on the south ridge of Pumori above Gorakshep.

The daily walk is generally between 6-7 hours with short breaks. But, the exact hours depend on your walking pace.

Yes, beginners can also trek to Everest Base Camp based on their health conditions. Our package includes simply walking on the rough trails, and you don’t need extra climbing or other skills. So, if you are well prepared to overcome this fear, you will be ready for the trek.

Just prepare yourself physically and mentally with basic exercises, jogging, breathing exercises, or swimming before three months of the trek. Beginners might fear walking in the rugged trails for a long day, but being adequately prepared physically and mentally helps boost your confidence to tackle the adventure.

An entry permit is compulsory if you travel for any reason in the Everest region. A special trek permit is always required to enter the limited areas of Nepal that the government has designated for trekking. And, for the permit for the EBC trip, you will need Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality and Sagarmatha National Park.

The permit is related to your safety while traveling into the conserved areas. It ensures your safety while trekking into those areas, and the fee you pay is also utilized for the betterment of the site to make it visitor friendly.

For our fixed departure itinerary, you cannot extend/reduce or make any changes to the packages we have built. For that, we provide a customized package where you are free to explore your choices and extend, reduce, or redesign them with our guidance.

Additionally, our itinerary is one of the best for all, so there may not be a reduced choice if you are a beginner in high altitudes. Reducing the itinerary may lead to a lack of time to adjust to changes in the environment, humidity, or pH, which may lead to high altitude sickness and other problems. Your body needs time to produce more red blood cells to counteract the lower oxygen saturation in the blood at high altitudes.

But if you are willing to spend more time in the Himalayas, we have the best other options to extend the days and customize your itinerary per your demands. Feel free to contact us; our team shall provide you with your dream package under your priorities and guidance.

If you purchase the package from a trekking service, you must travel with an Everest Base Camp guide. We care for your safety when you travel with a local agency like us. If you are with a guide, the team always provides a better option in selecting the accommodation, food, ending the language barrier, and even the itinerary selection. They will also help you with permits, domestic flights, porters, and your entire trek.

Additionally, if you encounter high altitude sickness, you will have knowledgeable staff by your side to monitor your symptoms from the very beginning. They will be familiar with such high altitudes and wildlife and will assist you in learning at every step. It is not compulsory to take a guide for this trek if you are an independent trekker, but your walk will be hassle-free if there is a guide with you.

The battery will drain quickly if exposed to a cold environment. So you need to charge your device more frequently. You can recharge the battery in the lodge where you spend the night. The lodge is powered by solar energy, so you will need to pay an extra fee.

You can also pack a spare battery or a portable power bank for backup. Sometimes there will be power cuts or low voltage, so it will be best to carry extra batteries.

It is essential to check your health and fitness when traveling through high-altitude regions. It helps to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all the trekkers.

We are happy to welcome you to EBC with your family and kids, as we believe nature helps kids in different ways. With a professional guide, we can complete the trek smoothly. But we will not advise bringing children of an inappropriately low age (less than five years) for high-altitude walking.

Prepare your kids with simple workouts and breathing exercises for at least one month to prepare for this trek. We also serve you with kid carry services, so kindly let us know if you need one during the inquiry.

Although the flights between Kathmandu and Lukla are typically stable, they may be postponed for the entire day if the weather is terrible. One extra day is included in our 14-day program in case of delays. However, we recommend you plan a few additional spare days in Nepal, just in case, to be prepared.

Please note that we will be rebooking your flight for the following day if your flight to Kathmandu is delayed. We might potentially be able to offer a privately chartered helicopter as an alternative. In every way we can, we will work to help you in arranging a flying service. As an agent, we will do all possible to work with airlines to set up your comfortable journey.

You may be able to reserve a helicopter upon request. The cost of the helicopter for you and your guide does not come from the package price if you want this service. Extra hotel stays and meals are omitted if you spend overnight waiting for the next day’s flight. Still, we will make accommodation arrangements for you if you prefer to stay overnight and wait for the next day’s departure.

Before beginning the Everest Base Camp trek, we already imposed complete payments on several costs, including permits, taxes, and others. Please be aware that we must fully compensate our guides and porters for the time they have committed, even if you choose not to finish the entire trek. We find it very difficult to issue refunds for any reason.

Sometimes hikers finish their journey sooner than expected or decide to terminate it early for personal or health reasons. Kindly be aware that we do not grant refunds for any portion of the trek that is not used. For more information, read our Terms and Conditions.

This also totally depends on the circumstances; we request that you read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly.

Our target for a fixed departure is 12 visitors. If the visitor doesn’t reach 12 within the given period, the trip will be shifted to a customized package, which changes the price, including terms and conditions.

We provide you with a very reasonable cost on a fixed departure because of the group size. If the group requirement is not fulfilled, we will redesign the program again according to the trip that has been booked. Go through the other pricing if you want to book the trip on your date, or contact us if you need to customize your trip.

Note: We do not customize the program of fixed departures. If you do not want to be part of a fixed departure and make your own package, please get in touch with us for the special customized package. Our team will happily assist you with their experienced advice and recommendations.

We highly suggest you engage in physical activities three months before the trip to prepare yourself physically and mentally. Additionally, we offer the Soldhunga Hike as part of our quick acclimation training trip. You can utilize this hike as a very tiny preview of what to expect on your main journey in the central Himalayas.

We request that you ask our ground team in Kathmandu for assistance in arranging day tours around the city. If you still have time a few days or a week after the trek, we can also set up one of the following quick relaxation trips. Feel free to pick the one you think will best suit your interests.

  • Pokhara
  • Lumbini
  • Ghandruk
  • Chitwan Safari

With the expectation that you will prefer to rest and recuperate rather than hike again, we have given you plenty of extra vacation days. Please inform us if there are any other destinations you would like to visit over these dates.

Arriving late evening at the international terminal from HK. I was gland to be picked up at the arrival area with no confusion and promptly. Advaned notification via email of the pick-up printed name board is helpful.
