On the way to Shivapuri peak, you can see more than 500 native species of plants and some animals also. This day hike offers you the amazing view of wonderful nature, eye-catching view of the Himalayas and Kathmandu valley. After climbing about 4-5 hours you will reach to the Shivapuri Peak (2732 m), which is the highest point of your hiking.
Full day hiking to Shivapuri National Park (8-9 hours)
Early morning our vehicle will pick you from hotel to Budanilkantha Temple which is your hiking starting point. It takes about 20 minutes of driving which is at north of kathmandu. From Budanilkantha we should walk uphill for 15 minutes to reach Shivapuri National Park entrance. After paying entrance fee now we are ready to immerse in beautiful nature of this national park. On the way you will see Nagi Gumpa, where you can see nuns practicing Buddhism. After continuing the steep uphill for 5-6 hours you reach to Shivapuri Peak. Now we will enjoy the view from top for a while. From here you can see the Langtang mountain range and enjoy the lunch. Then we will return back downhill to Budanilkantha and back to hotel.
