Trip Overview

Yala Peak is a mountain which is located just to the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang Valley region. Yala Peak is 5500 meters and does not require  tough mountaineering experience. Yala Peak Climbing Eco-holiday is considered as trekking peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association, and it is a relatively simple, non-technical climb. Yala Peak Climbing eco-holiday adventure offer you and opportunities to enjoy with Himalayan ecological beauties. Yala Peak Climbing Eco-holiday offers superb Himalayan views of several snowy mountains like Lantang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Naya kanga peak, Gangchempo, Shishapangma etc. While travelling to Yala Peak you can see beautiful Langtang valley, to Kyanjim Gompa at 3800m. Kyanjim Gompa is situated below Langtang Lirung (7246 m).

The another attraction of this trekking is Langtang National Park. You will get opportunities to walk inside this national park to watch Himalayan nature, Floras and fauna inside this park. Yala Peak is one of the easiest, wonderful and adventurous climbing peak in Nepal. You can also get opportunities to visit Buddhist monasteries. After Yala Peak Climbing we will return to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu.

Langtang National Park started from 1976. Due to long conservation of Langtang Himalayan eco-system, this one of the mature eco-system in the Himalaya, where one can observe and study from various perspectives. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350M/4425FT) (A)
Showing your name board, our airport representative waits in Kathmandu International Airport (TIA). You transfer to hotel, check in and free time. Have enjoy!

Day 2: Trip Final Preperation in Kathmandu (A,B)
In the morning, generally at 8 am, Eco-friendly Treks staff come to meet you at your hotel. Please manage to be there at lobby with:
(a) your original passport to prepare necessary adventure eco holiday permit/s from the concerned authority
(b) a couple of same passport size photos for permit/s and
(c) Trip final full payment. The staff introduce you with your trip guide at the same time. You have time to interact with your guide, he may check and suggest your trip equipmment and packing for the trip on your interest, please tell us if you like this. The rest of the day, you may buy or hire additional equipment and packing (if necessary). Then, you rest for acclimatization and final preperation for the trip. If you like any additional program for the day, please inform us at the time of mail corresponding.

Day 3: Drive to Sybru Bensi (1462M/4792FT) (8HRS).(A,B,L,D)
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours by bus or Land cruiser depending on group size. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli river you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road is still under construction. Sybru Bensi the cool town with the excellent view. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2500M/8195FT) (5HRS).(A,B,L,D)
Today, the first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This trail gradually climbs to Bamboo passing through the landslide area. Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400meters) through Bamboo (1960meters) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. You can have lunch at this place if you like. Your trail is level to the Lama Hotel. En route you could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if you’re lucky. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 5: Trek to Langtang Village (3307M/10840FT) (5HRS).(A,B,L,D)
The trek route follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally it means the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. Langtang village is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3798M/12450FT) (4HRS).(A,B,L,D)
Today is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. The surroundings are interesting and we pass the famous Cheese factory. This beautiful valley in the lap of the Langtang Lirung. A place to explore the valley and lots of small peaks to climb. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa exploration day.(A,B,L,D)
Today is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and cheese factory then take a walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350meters) which is highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Day 8: Trek to Yala peak Base camp (4400M/14423FT) (6HRS).(A,B,L,D)
To reach Yala Base Camp you trek along the rocky glacier trail. You will be quite taken back by the views of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and others. For today the accommodation will be tented camp and food will be cooked by our professional camp cook. Overnight at Tented camp.

Day 9: Summit Yala Peak (5732M/18789FT) and back to Kyangjin Gompa. (A,B,L,D)
Today our main adventure day, an early start in the morning to climb Pisang peak depending on weather conditions. At the summit of Yala peak, you will be stunned by the panoramic views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many Tibetan mountains. Day 10: Spare day in case of bad weather to climb Yala Peak. (A,B,L,D)

This is the spare day for the climb just in cse of the bad weather. Or we can have the rest day at the Kyanjin Gompa, visit the Langtang Glacier etc. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2500M/8195FT) (5-6HRS).(A,B,L,D)
Rejoin the trail to Lama Hotel. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek to Sybru Bensi (1462M/4792FT) (5HRS).(A,B,L,D)
Leaving the mountains behind us our descent takes us to the Sybru Bensi where we started the trek about a week ago. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu (Flights also available) (A,B,L,D)

After our breakfast, we take a drive to Kathmandu or take a flight to Kathmandu.

Day 14: At Leisure/ Spare day (A,B)

Day 15: Departure to your destination (B)
Today is your departure day, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and pray for your Safe journey.
