Trip Introduction

Overview of Ganesh Himal Trek

The Dhading district in the heart of northern Nepal is where the Ganesh Himal Trek takes you to see a portion of the Himalayas that not many people have visited. This area is between Langtang in the east and Manaslu in the west, which are both popular places to go hiking.

The trail goes through towns, forests, and meadows, so there are lots of chances to learn about the culture and wildlife of the area. The Ganesh Himal Trek is also an outstanding opportunity to see and experience how most Nepalis live and what their country looks like. The trek starts in Balchi and ends in Dhading Besi.

Northwest of Kathmandu, the Ganesh Himal area is a great place to go hiking if you want to avoid crowds and enjoy a quiet hike. Trekking through Tamang and Gurung villages, you’ll meet people of different races and cultures who have maintained their customs well over the years.

The peaceful beauty of communities like Gatlang, Somang, or Sethun along the way, the great views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, or Manaslu, and the chance to camp in wild and unusual places all make this trek one of the most beautiful “old-fashioned” treks for people who want to stay away from major tourist spots.

The plants and animals in the Ganesh Himal area are unique. We walk through blue pine, oak, and rhododendron woods. As we walk along the path, the smell of the herbs in the area follows us. Watch how people live in different ways and talk with people who have different backgrounds, views, and cultures.

Ganesh Himal (7406 m) trek, Langtang (7300 m), Annapurna (8091 m), Fishtail (6990 m), Manaslu (8163 m), Lamjung (6800 m), and many more are the daily activities of our holey Ganesh Himal trek.

Kathmandu, at 1,400 meters, is our starting point. From this bustling center, we begin an exciting tour through Nepal’s most beautiful landscapes and drive toward the Balche. We will then start our trek toward the Rupchet. We pass snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and attractive settlements. The Singla Pass connects Rupchet to Chalis Gaon as we climb higher. This pass is thrilling and difficult, but the views are worth it.

From Chalis Gaon to Rachyat Gaon, nature captivates us. Streams and waterfalls accompany our journey through ancient forests. We continue our trip to Khading Gau, where the beautiful landscapes and welcoming locals fascinate us.
We cross pure wilderness from Lapa Gaon to Ri Gaon. Phulkharka, a charming village, awaits us. We enjoy the simple life and stunning views here. We say goodbye to the mountains and magnificent scenery we’ve grown to love on our final journey from Phulkharka to Jyamrung. From Dhading Besi, we drive to Kathmandu.
