Panchadham Lake is a hidden gem in the Annapurna region, which is nestled at an elevation of 4,050 meters. This lake is surrounded by the majestic peaks of Annapurna, Nilgiri North and South, and Tilicho Peak. This pristine lake, a true marvel, attracts both domestic and international travellers alike. Particularly enchanting for those trekking the North Annapurna Base Camp, the lake can be reached after a seven-hour trek from Narchyang’s Humkhola.

The lake covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters and is named Pancha Kunda Tal because it owns five smaller ponds. Despite its natural beauty, the lake also has a Shiva temple and a Buddha statue. This draws worship from both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. This holy place prohibits animal sacrifices because of its religious importance.

Visitors are treated to a captivating display of the lake’s colors and purity, and the surrounding peaks will enhance your overall experience. Time appears to stand still when you are immersed in the enormity of the lake. The unique glacial formations and Panchadham Lake reflect the vibrant colors of the sky, making the trip more memorable. You can reach Narchang, which takes 1-2 days of hiking. You can see breathtaking views of the Tilicho and Nilgiri mountains.

To enhance its spiritual character, a stupa and a temple honoring Lord Shiva have been constructed around Panchadham Lake. Pancha Kunda is still a popular travel destination for people looking for adventure and spiritual comfort because of its unique combination of natural wonders and religious importance.

Follow the Maurice Herzog Trail to experience the beauty of multiple waterfalls that tumble down from the hills. More than six beautiful waterfalls are on the trail, such as the Phut-Phute Waterfall, Pancha Waterfall, and Rato Waterfall. Experience the thick forest as you walk and see unique rhododendron species, such as Rhododendron Lindsey and Rhododendron Kobanium, that are only found in Nepal during the flowering season.

The Bhushket Mela area is a sight to see, with flowering rhododendron blooms painting the hills with vibrant colors. This beautiful location attracts those looking for natural beauty.
